Temple Square with Tanner and Jayla

On Sunday we took the grandkids to temple square. We went with the multitudes to take in a Tabernacle Choir broadcast in the conference center. When we first entered a security person asked Jayla how old she was. Because she isn't eight years old they said she would have to go to the Little Theatre. So just Tanner and I proceeded into the conference center while Gpa and Jayla were herded off into another direction. But as Tanner and I went in to find a seat, low and behold there was Gpa and Jayla. They ended up in the same place as we were so we were able to watch the broadcast together.

We went inside the Tabernacle which looks so small compared to the gigantic conference center. Tanner has his He-Man pose in front of the handcart statue.

After Arriving in Utah

After we arrived, Kaitlyn took Tanner and "the girls" to the barn. Here is the horse Gary and the crew. Look at the wary look in Jayla's eyes.

Yes, the old Arvada West High School is no more. In it's place is the brand new one.

One day I had some errands to run, so instead of taking the usual way, I decided to take the way by the High School. And to my dismay, I saw in progress the demolition of my kids' old stomping grounds. I went back home and got my camera so that I could document the end of an era. The school they knew is no longer there. So sad!

Trip to Utah

Our two oldest grandkids got to go with old Grandma and Grandpa to Utah for the family reunion. Our first stop was at McDonalds for lunch and then the next stop at Little America for ice cream. (Although, as many of you have experienced, there were many little stops along the way because of Gma's needs.) I didn't realize that there was a play place at Little America, so Tanner and Jayla got a chance to "hang out".
