Our trip out east...

We are on our way to Gettysburg Battlefield. Cami and Dallin both have earphones on because they were watching a video while we traveled, although it looks like Dallin is asleep, but his eyes are looking down to he screen on the floor.

Here is some beautiful landscapes at Gettysburg.

Dallin and Cami are waiting for the grownups so that we can go to Greenbriar Swimmng Hole. It is a reservoir just a few miles up the road from Martha's. We had to have some sustanance before hitting the water.

Dallin is heading for the water with his trusty orange noodle.

Hanging out in the sand.

Here is the estheticly pleasing umbrella provided by Martha.

Doesn't someone want to go help save Grandpa? Yea! Cami did!

Dallin, this sure is a lot of fun!

Time with Cami. Ta-da!

Bucket head.

Hello, from off the balcony.

We had a great visit!

BYU Graduation

Here is the great and wonderful post to celebrate the graduation from of the great and wonderful Ellen and Jason Alleman from the great and wonderful institution known as Brigham Young University.
Scott and I left for Provo on a Wed. afternoon after work. We went part way and stayed in Grand Junction at the Motel 6, got up Thur. and made it to Provo at about noon. We first stopped at the Provo Towne Mall and took a picture of Ellen hard at work at the C and B.

She looks so cool at the cash register with her name tag. Then we all got ready for the convocation which would feature the guest speaker Vice President Dick Cheney.

A washed out picture of Ellen and Jason outside the Marriott Center.

Scott and I outside the Marriott where we waited for two hours in the security line.

We had seats way up on the last row. "HUFF AND PUFF"!

We were privileged to be in the presence of our beloved prophet Pres. Hinckley. This is a picture of him on the Jumbo-tron. He came walking in with Pres., Cheney, waving his cane. Of course, when he came into the Marriott everybody stood up and applauded for a very long time.

PBS - The Mormons

I have no pictures to post, but I did want to write about the experience of watching the PBS Frontline documentary, THE MORMONS. We watched both of the two hour episodes. Scott and I thought they spent way to much time on the Mountain Meadow Massacre and whether Brigham Young ordered it done. Then, of course, it is always a source of interest in how others try to explain why Joseph Smith had the revelation about plural marriage. One of the comments was made was that he had a "wandering eye" for the ladies. When I got to school, the teacher I work with had watched it and asked me about that. It gave me an opportunity to bear my testimony of the fact that I know Joseph Smith is a prophet and that he did receive revelation and that he in fact saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that I have received a confirmation of this through prayer. Did anyone else watch this documentary and do any of you have an opinion about any of it?
