Through the window I can see

Your Christmas candle glow.

The haze it makes shines quietly

Against the evening snow.

Its light reminds me of the night

In Israel far away

When shepherds saw skies burning bright

And new life in the hay.

That is a really nice poem! I will think of that poem every time I see a candle in the window now. Lovely clipart, too - y'all are becoming quite blogger-savvy. That clipart candle reminds me of something...hmmm...oh, yeah...didn't we used to have a record with "Good King Wenceslas" that had a candle on the album cover?????? Ha, ha.

I taught a lesson in YW on Sunday about appreciating the cultural arts...I feel like I'm participating in cultural arts when I read your blog with all the poems, it's great!

Don't hold in your creativity. You have set a new standard. You must have poems for all holidays and symbols.
